Parolee charged with drug trafficking

A 38-year old Rome man was jailed on a long list of charges Thursday, including theft by taking an automobile, theft by receiving stolen property, trafficking methamphetamine, and trafficking heroin

According to an arrest warrant, Shane Ladell Terhune took a 2014 Volkswagen from a Florida woman back on July 8.

Jail reports state that Terhune was found in possession of over 55 grams of meth, and 30 grams of heroin at his home on Ladell Road.

He also reportedly had three firearms, one of which had been reported stolen.

Police say they also found several pills, including oxycodone in the home, along with a digital scale, packaging materials, a glass smoking device, a syringe and over $400 in cash.

Terhune was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of synthetic marijuana, and a parole violation.

 

All registration packets received at each school by February 8, 2019, at 1:30 pm will be entered into the lottery process for each school if needed.
