Kentucky Fugitive found in Gordon County

Calhoun Police received a tip late Monday night about a fugitive from Kentucky in Gordon County. 
 
Warrants were obtained to search Barton Bishop’s location via cell phone towers, and it was found that he was at the Calhoun Walmart. 
 
As officers were heading towards the location he was found in a Blue Toyota that belonged to Bishop’s girlfriend where she stated he made homicidal and suicidal comments. 
 
An officer blocked the vehicle at S. River St and Oothacalooga St. and Bishop was incarcerated. 
 
Bishop was turned over to the Gordon County Jail without incident and State warrants were taken for Fugitive from Justice.
 
As of 5 p.m., most of the power had been restored and most traffic lights are working again.
According to Floyd County Jail records, 29-year old Terina Marie Hooes began to stab a man with a knife during an argument on Reeceburg Road.
Avoid Maple Road in Lindale at the railroad tracks. A train is stopped, and the crossing arms are messed up. Traffic is at a standstill.
