Utility Pole Blocking Traffic on Highway 140

A utility pole fell overnight and is causing a detour on Highway 114 this morning.
 
Highway 114 from Taliaferro Spring Road to Oak Hill Road in Lyerly is completely shut down and will remain closed for two to three hours.
 
Georgia Power is working to replace the power pole that fell and will be installing a new pole and new power lines.
 
Plan for an alternate route this morning.
 
Chattooga 911 says that they will update when Highway 114 reopens.
According to Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader, the accident was between a Chevrolet Silverado and a tractor-trailer.
