Man charged in two burglaries on Martha Berry Boulevard

A homeless man was transferred from the Gordon County Jail to the Floyd County Jail Monday to face charges related to a couple of burglaries.

According to arrest warrants, 45-year old Joseph Keith Soler entered a residence on Martha Berry Boulevard in Rome and took cash, an iPhone, a credit card machine, security camera equipment and a laptop computer.

That burglary occurred on April 22, according to the warrant.

Then on May 1, Soler allegedly broke into Enterprise Car Rental, also on Martha Berry Boulevard, damaging video equipment and a computer in the process.

Soler is charged with both 1st and 2nd-degree burglary.
